Request a Transcript

The Office of the University Registrar only issues official transcripts. An official transcript is a comprehensive record of a student’s academic progress. Unofficial transcripts can be accessed via the student portal (ULink) and are available to currently enrolled students only. Transcripts contain confidential information and are released only in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).

Students with outstanding financial obligations or other outstanding holds that prevent the release of their academic record, have the responsibility to clear transcript holds in order to obtain their official academic record.

Peak Times
During regular processing periods, official transcript requests are generally printed and mailed within 3-5 business days from the receipt of the transcript request.  However during certain peak times, transcript processing may require additional time due to the volume of requests received.  The regular 3-5 business days refers to the length of processing time within the Registrar's Office. It does not account for mailing and delivery time to or from the University.

Mail delivery through the United States Postal Service, and mail processing times at other destinations (including institutions) can vary widely and are outside the control of the Registrar's Office; thus, we are only able to recommend students include an estimate mailing/delivery time frame of at least 5 business days when ordering an official transcript be sent to a domestic mailing address.  If the recipient's address is international, additional time will be needed for mail delivery.

End of Term Transcript Processing

  • Transcripts are not produced while grade processing and posting is in progress at the end of each semester for currently enrolled students.
  • Transcript processing will stop at 12:30 p.m. on the Friday prior to the beginning of Final Exam testing week.
  • Former students are able to proceed with submitting request at these times.

Transcript Fees

  • The University of Louisiana at Lafayette does not charge a fee for official transcripts.
  • However, all indebtedness to the University must be cleared for a transcript request to be processed.
