Graduation In Absentia
Attendance at the commencement exercises is mandatory. If a student has a conflict which prevents his/her attending the ceremony, the student must apply to his/her dean for permission to graduate in absentia no later than two (2) weeks prior to the commencement ceremony, using the Absence from Commencement Request Form. If a student does not apply to graduate in absentia and does not attend commencement, the diploma will be withheld and the student will not be considered a graduate of UL Lafayette.
